Vietnam Day -
GWAND Sustainable Festival 2022

Taking place in 2022 in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland, as part of

the 13th GWAND Sustainable Festival, Vietnam Day has become a prominent highlight attracting dozens of Swiss businesses and thousands of participants. The GWAND Sustainable Festival is an annual event promoting sustainable development in Switzerland on an international scale, established by the GWAND Association since 1992. With this 13th event, Vietnam has been chosen as the official guest country and the main keyword for this festival.

Accompanying the event are the Embassy of Vietnam in Switzerland and the non-governmental organization Keep It Beautiful Vietnam (KIBV), as Vietnam Day brings a fresh wave honoring the green products of sustainable Vietnamese businesses. Over the course of 3 days, the event organized various notable activities, including experiencing Vietnamese culture, exhibiting sustainable products originating from Vietnam and Asia, business networking and investment forums, traditional fashion shows and musical performances.

VAN•HOA is honored to participate in Vietnam Day along with many other sustainable brands such as Empower Women Asia, EcoSoi, GSC Vietnam, Comay Craft, La Pham, Hoa Tien Brocade, and more.

"Connecting Circularity" Concept

"Connecting Circularity" is the theme VAN•HOA has chosen for the main visual design of the Vietnam Day event. Inspired by the versatile movements of the distinctive Vietnamese weaving patterns, as well as the continuous interaction between the Vietnamese and Swiss cultures. The main image of the concept is designed based on a woven circular shape representing connectivity and cohesion among communities.

Corresponding to the woven circle concept, the color palette is inspired by the unique aspects of Vietnamese culture, such as the yellow of fabric, the indigo blue of traditional dyeing, and the fresh green of Vietnamese culinary specialties.

APPLICATIONS

The designs throughout the event are flexibly applied, combining visual images and the central floral circle to create focal points that connect various elements in both digital and physical materials.
